IntervalSignalFilter: So, I have this archival recording of an interval signal from shortwave station WSHB, Cypress Creek, SC. Is it an excerpt from any particular song?

The station itself went off the air a few years ago, but this recording dates from around 1992, when WSHB was still an active official outlet of the Christian Science Monitor media group.

Does this haunting little tune ring a bell to anyone? Is it an excerpt from a classical piece? A religious hymn? Or just a particularly ominous micro-composition?

(Pop culture side note: Yes, I know that Pere Ubu ripped off the lick for their 1993 song "Sleep Walk.")

It sounds a bit like the theme from The Saint (the TV show starring Roger Moore).

Response by poster: Heh. Interesting, but definitely not the same song. Thanks for the nice retro TV moment, though. :-)

Havbe you tried Torus? I had a whack at it but I might have entered the tune wrong.
