Can you name the mellow song and the band for a music video which featured a girl with dark hair slowly walking down the street in the early morning carrying a pair of shoes from the mid-90s?
A member of our music forum has been posting all over the web for this, but hasn't had much luck, so I thought I'd bring the challenge here. He doesn't remember any lyrics, but provides these clues:
1) It was a fairly mellow song
2) Probably concerning the breaking up or a one night stand.
3) It was song by a male singer, (Grant Lee Buffalo springs to mind, or at least someone with a similar style. The only other memory I have is that the girl had dark hair,walking slowly down the street in the early morning.

Wasn't there a Third Eye Blind or Matchbox 20 or Hoobastank video that was all about the girl walking home with shoes? Either them or Goo Goo Dolls. Or Primative Radio Gods.
Christ, I can even see the video, and I can't fucking identify the artists! Damn you, marijuana-induced memory loss and the blandness of mid-90s post-grunge!

Stuck out in my mind as an awful song, where the guy is singing to his psychiatrist about his girlfriend. Meanwhile, she breaks a heel and carries her shoes instead.

I can remember watching this video...i'm thinking buffalo tom...maybe 'wiser' from the album 'smitten'? unfortunately cannot find the video! now driving me crazy... arrggghh

Response by poster: Our forum member with the music memory loss has replied: "Nope,none of those. I think the girl was wearing a summery dress and was possibly walking home after a one-night stand"
