Can you name the mellow song and the band for a music video which featured a girl with dark hair slowly walking down the street in the early morning carrying a pair of shoes from the mid-90s?

A member of our music forum has been posting all over the web for this, but hasn't had much luck, so I thought I'd bring the challenge here. He doesn't remember any lyrics, but provides these clues:

1) It was a fairly mellow song
2) Probably concerning the breaking up or a one night stand.
3) It was song by a male singer, (Grant Lee Buffalo springs to mind, or at least someone with a similar style. The only other memory I have is that the girl had dark hair,walking slowly down the street in the early morning.

Wasn't there a Third Eye Blind or Matchbox 20 or Hoobastank video that was all about the girl walking home with shoes? Either them or Goo Goo Dolls. Or Primative Radio Gods.

Christ, I can even see the video, and I can't fucking identify the artists! Damn you, marijuana-induced memory loss and the blandness of mid-90s post-grunge!

Stuck out in my mind as an awful song, where the guy is singing to his psychiatrist about his girlfriend. Meanwhile, she breaks a heel and carries her shoes instead.

I can remember watching this video...i'm thinking buffalo tom...maybe 'wiser' from the album 'smitten'? unfortunately cannot find the video! now driving me crazy... arrggghh

Our forum member with the music memory loss has replied: "Nope,none of those. I think the girl was wearing a summery dress and was possibly walking home after a one-night stand"

Maybe, Londonboots is on to something. Let me know if anyone comes up with anything else and thanx.

Any leads on finding the Wiser video? Devon Odessa was the actress in it.
