It snowed last night. I got lucky last month. What's the deal with his handbasket?

Where is this line from? "I've seen some weather. I've had some intercourse. I don't know where I'm going."

I remember writing down the quote, and that it was either about country music (used to sum up the basic themes of the genre) or an actual song lyric. Any ideas?

I know I'm reaching here, but I've brought some pretty obscure, half-formed inklings here before and you guys have always come through, so I figured it was worth a shot.

I'll by the first person who can crack it a drink. Honest!

Response by poster: Alert readers will notice that I misspelled "buy." This was actually intentional, as it renders the promise non-binding.

"Where are we going, and what's with this handbasket?" is attributed to George Carlin - is he the person you're thinking of?

James Taylor's Fire and Rain kinda sorta fits:
I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought I'd see you again

Now I'm walking my mind to an easy time, my back turned towards the sun
Lord knows when the cold wind blows, it'll turn your head around
There's hours of time on the telephone line to talk about things to come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the the ground

Well, I tried googling the lyrics, but all I kept getting was weather reports for Intercourse, PA.

I tried googling and all I got was *this askme question*. That's some fast indexing.

Are these remembered lyrics or did you actually write them down at the time.

Also, is the title the lyric you're after, or the bit in quotes in the message? Or both? That is, are you looking for
"It snowed last night. I got lucky last month. What's the deal with his handbasket?"
or
"I've seen some weather. I've had some intercourse. I don't know where I'm going."
or both?

I think I said that about 15 years ago while doing a walk of shame.

Ha, I was going to say what boo_radley said. Or "My Girl" by the Temptations. Or "Here comes the rain again" by the Eurythmics.
