UV filter: Can anyone identify the maker of these sunglasses?

My beau's schmancy titanium sunglasses were stolen last year and he laments their loss every day.

Every. Day.

I would like to see if replacing them would be feasible. But that's only fun if its a surprise! So, hive, does anyone recognize the frames on the gent to the right?

- Titanium
- Bought in North Carolina originally
- Probably cost around $250+

I know its a longshot, but hey, you all know what's what. Commence with the blinding me with science and all that.

They look sorta like these Dragons but not quite.

Hmm. If I had to take a wild stab in the dark, I'd go with Police. These have a similar shape but the bridge is wrong and the lenses are curved.

Do you know roughly how long ago he bought them?

I can't help identify, but Solstice is a sunglass chain, with branches in SF, that carries lots of high-end stuff.

That's where I'd start looking.

I'm fairly confident I tried on those frames, or at least something very similar looking, at Through the Hayes in SF around a year ago. Even if they don't have them anymore, the people there really know their stock, and should be able to find something similar or maybe even point you in the right direction towards finding them. They are, of course, on Hayes street, near Octavia.

Best answer: On second examination, those look a lot like the ic! berlin frames entitled "sean" (http://www.ic-berlin.de/, click "sunglasses", towards the bottom of the list). I can't see the hinge very well in the photo you link to, but it looks similar. Probably a substantial more then $250+ though, so I may well be off base.

Response by poster: zachlipton, I think you're on to something here. I found out yesterday that the shop where he bought them does indeed carry ic! berlin frames and that he did actually pay closer to $400 for those bad boys. Thanks for the help!
