I need the title and author of an alternative graphic novel in which a blank-eyed naked man wanders through hell speaking lines from Dante or another classic poetic text.
Here is what I remember of it:
1: The "protagonist" is a blank-eyed (like Little Orphan Annie) man who wanders through hell ending up in a wide variety of surreal situations.
2: The publication format was not standard trade-paperback size. It might have been square.
3: The quoted poetic lines don't always directly connect to the graphical content.
I thought the title was something like "Biff in Hell" or something like that, but Amazon and google searches on those terms have not been productive. I also must admit that I've only leafed through it. So my details are fuzzy, the art was highly distinctive though, and I'd know it if I saw it.
