How to import updated bookmarks from IE to Firefox?

Finally decided to make Firefox my default browser, but the bookmarks it imported from IE are four months old. Is there any way to get the updated ones without handcopying?

Yes. In IE go to File>Export and export your bookmarks to something like bookmarks.html. Then, in Firefox's bookmark manager go to Import and import that file.

Response by poster: Thanks. The result is a bit messy, but it's much easier to deal with now.

Yeah, I should have warned you. Firefox refuses to organize things the way IE does. So if you're like me you have a large number of subfolders which one would expect to be organized alphabetically before the list of links that aren't catagorized. Firefox doesn't get it. Sigh.
