Give me some obscure, yet totally rockable tracks to spend a $25 iTunes music store gift card on.

Usually I come by music through other "means", but I got this giftcard for Xmas.

Examples of songs that meet my criteria:
"Radio" by the Orange Thompsons (jpop, and awesome)
"In the Evening, Baby, When the Sun Goes Down" by Lou Rawls
"ARASHI" by Arashi
"Die Da" by Die Fantastiche Vier

If you dig Lou Rawls, you may enjoy Solomon Burke. Check out his latest album "Nashville" or older hits such as "Memphis Soul Stew," or the medley of "If you Need Me, Tonight's The Night, and I Almost Lost My Mind."

Charles Mingus - Moanin'

Everything else he did was awesome too

"I was dead before I was born" by Fury in the Slaughterhouse.

I love Fury.

Celebration - U2. Their 2nd or 3rd single, relatively unknown and just great, great stuff.
Heroin - The Velvet Underground. Turn it up really loud.
She Sells Sanctuary - The Cult.
Stereo Mc's Fever The Steve Hillage mix -- Great remix with a funky India sitar sound.
I bet you look good on the dance floor -- Arctic Monkeys. Not so obscure, but these lads are great, young vibrant buzzing rock.

... some more I'll think of later! ;)

Can't go wrong with Ray Charles or Nina Simone.

Another couple crankable U2 songs that don't get radio play:

Wire from The Unforgettable Fire.
Last Night on Earth and Mofo from Pop.

Also, maybe some of Billy Corgan's short-lived group Zwan, particularly: Ride a Black Swan, Lyric, and Honestly, (which did get some airplay.)

Judging by the other stuff on your list you'd probably dig Asian Kung Fu Foundation, very bouncy jrock.

Iggy's "Lust For Life"
Bauhaus' "Third Uncle"

Dunno if those meet your criteria. I am totally unfamiliar with the songs you posted.

Ok, enough with the retard answers.

Mclusky— Lightsaber Cocksucking Blues. Punky burner from regrettably defunct UK band.
Clotaire K— Bif Bam Boom. French/Lebanese (Lebanese is the name of their album, natch) rap.
크라잉넛—싸나이. I'll cop to having no idea how to pronounce the name or the song, but a friend sent me their album and it's crazed Asian (I think they're Korean, but can't prove it) pop.
The Long Blondes— Separated By Motorways. Might not be obscure in the UK, but kinda is here and is girl pop with a great high hat swing.
The Rogers Sisters— I Dig A Hole. Off-kilter reverb pop.
Jeans Team— Oh Bauer. Nimme ich mit! Take me with this bouncy German electro pop. Best track on the album by far.
Legiao Urbana— Teorama. I think they're Portuguese, but they may be Spanish. Either way, they do great Echo and the Bunnymen style synthrock.
The Temptations— Psychedelic Shack. Obviously not an obscure band, but a lesser-known album. Les bon Temps take a run at psych funk, and do OK.
Bondo de Role— Funk de Esfiha. Since you like foriegn rap, you might like this bit of Baille. Based on a Grease sample, with rapping reminiscent of JJ Fad.
天井棧敷/東京キッド・ブラザース — ピース〜ダダダ. The name of this track, I couldn't tell you. I know that the band is Tokyo Kid Brother, and that it's a burning psych platter.
The Dirtbombs— Broke in Detroit Again. This anthem totally sums up Detroit living for me. Power pop fun.

What I will say is that I didn't check every one of these against the iTunes store, but there should be enough that work to give you a head start.

Slade - Run Runaway

It's obscure in name, but everyone knows it.

Joe Simon & The Mainstreeters - Theme From Cleopatra Jones

Ennio Morricone - Ma Non Troppo Erotico

Instrumentals:

Flames of the Dragon - The Mighty Upsetter (Lee "Scratch" Perrry)

Madvillain - Sickfit

Alain Goraguer - Deshominisation (I)

I love "Lotion" by Greenskeepers, "New Friend Request" by Gym Class Heroes, and almost everything by Busdriver.

How we Operate - GOMEZ
And I second Sanctuary by the Cult. Certainly not obscure, but pound -for-pound, among the best out there.

Difficult to add anything other than the entire album "Mclusky Do Dallas" is worth buying. Every track on it is a ripper, definitely one of the best albums of the decade so far.

Also:

Mission of Burma's OnOFFOn (this band is still, surprisingly, obscure to some)
Pedro the Lion's It's Hard to Find a Friend
Group Sex by the Circle Jerks
Milo Goes to College by the Descendents
EtMoiEtMoiEtMoi par Jacques duTronc

Unfortunately, that's the only track by duTronc that iTunes has... damn shame.
