How to add web pages to Google Reader's "Shared Items"?

How can I add web pages to my Google Reader account's "Shared Items" feed with minimum fuss?

I'd prefer this to be a one-click affair. To clarify, I'd like to add web pages I'm actually on to "Shared Items," not articles I'm reading within Google Reader. Thanks!

It doesn't look like there's a way to get items from a feed to go right onto your shared list, but I can think of an easy way to almost do it.

1. Make a del.icio.us account.
2. Install del.icio.us's Firefox extension or bookmark the bookmarklet.
3. Subscribe to the RSS feed for your own account.
4. Inside Google Reader, tag the subscription as something unique, like "Pages I like".
5. Go to the Subscription management page. Go to the tags tab.
6. Click the little radar button on the "Pages I like" tag row.
7. Now share that public URL instead of your generic "shared items" URL.
