Take a picture, it will last longer if its taken each day and put into a handy calendar format. Or so I hope.

In search of a for a template/program/anything that will let me upload daily photos in a day-calendar format.

Specifically heres what I have in mind:

Each day I will take one photo and my dream is to be able to look at all of these photos in a "box a day" format so that on day 365 of 2007 I can see, at-a-glance, each photo that I took over the course of the year. Does such a thing exist? Does anything like it exist? I know that I could do something like this on flickr and see it by tag date but what I am after is something a bit different, a genuine calendar that will grow as the year unfolds. Thanks for your help.

Pixelpost.org will give you an archive page of thumbnails of all the photos you've taken although it's not actually in a calendar format.

You could do this with a blog and a custom archive template.

Adobe Photoshop Starter Album is a free image management application, and has a calender view of your images (arranges them based on the meta included when they were taken).

Although I just noticed you said 'upload' (assume you want it online) - so this may not be appropriate (but it is template/program/anything)

You could also try PhotoBlog. It seems to give similar results to WCityMike's suggestion though.

I actually made a custom PHP page to do just this. It's a bit rough around the edges, but does what you're looking for. You upload (well, FTP or otherwise put on the server) a picture for each day, and it shows up in a calendar. When you click on the image, Lightbox JS gives you a as-big-as-the-screen-allows view, as well as a few other features. I can put a sample page up later today (might be much later), and my email is in my profile if you're interested.
