Where can I find a tasty cup of Vietnamese iced coffee in New York City?

The closer to the Village the better. Oh yeah, and relatively cheap would be nice too.

You can probably make it yourself. They make the coffee espresso-strong, pour it in a glass with crushed ice, and top it up with condensed milk (the sweet kind).

If you're going to make your own, be sure you get coffee that has a little bit of chicory in it. Here's an article on the necessary stuff. My friend purchased the filter (it's like, $2.00 for something that lasts forever 'cause it's metal) and we've been having cups o' the stuff every now and then.

Perhaps not close enough to the village, but there are numerous Vietnamese restaurants in Chinatown that serve iced coffee (and food as well). Here are some I can recommend: Pho Bang on Mott, Nam Son on Grand, Nha Trang on Baxter and also on Centre, Thai Son on Baxter.

The banh mi sandwich shops will also serve iced coffee, there are a few of those around but I haven't had coffee at them, so I can't offer any recommendations.
