My Own Ringtones

Making my own mp3 ringtones?
I would like to create my own ringtones from pieces of music that I composed and produced on my PC. Perhaps even give them away. I can use software like Audacity to create small snippets of appropriate size, but how can I get the mp3 onto my phone as a ringtone?
If it matters, I have an LG 225 phone and Cingular is my provider.

Best answer: I've used this and messed about with some information from the Howard Forums and got it to work on my sister's somethingorother with Verizon as her provider.

The second comment here claims that the mp3s must be between 32kbps-96kbps (probably because the phone only has 1mb of storage) and that you should rename the file to .qcp to make the phone recognize it as a ringtone.

Also see: Mobile17. Which also gives you several different options on getting it to your phone. They also do games and pictures.

Does your phone support Bluetooth? You may be able to upload MP3s directly from your PC.
