Good place for old farts (~44 yrs old) to go dancing in New Haven on January 13^th?

Wanna do something romantic, surprise the wife. Nothing too loud or crowded. Thanks!

Although I am nowhere near New Haven, I do know that the swing dancing crowd tends to encompass all ages, plus there are often beginning lessons at the start of the dance. There appears to be a dance being held on Saturday, January 13th, in your area, with a live swing band. I would look around the rest of the Connecticut Swing Dance Society site for other options.

Do you live in New Haven? If you do, I would suggest picking up a copy of the New Haven Advocate. It's a free weekly & it's all over the place. They also have a website, but I don't think it includes the entertainment listings like the print version. On Fridays, The New Haven Register has a supplement that includes information about events/bars/dances/etc.
