Woot-like in what sense exactly?

I'm assuming porpoise means www.woot.com
(one item every 24 hours or until sold out for a decently good price)

I know, what I'm wondering is if he means necessarily deal-a-day or just tech gadgets and such.

Response by poster: Either or, loiseau.

I'm familiar with tigerdirect.ca and have bought stuff from them (but I prefer a local brick&mortar shop, atic.ca for computer parts).

Looking more for an outfit selling older/discontinued model tech gadgets/toys for cheap.

For deal-a-day, Home Depot has HammerDrop.

I'm not sure where they all ship to, but there's a good roundup of those kinds of sites at DOD Tracker. A lot of them are tech and electronic stuff.

Oh ye foolish mortals, look upon RedFlagDeals.com and despair!

ZeroDayDeals also has a good list of the dailies, and some of them definitely do ship to Canada.

If you're not just looking for techno-toys, Etsy.com has been sucking up a lot of my cash these days.

There was a direct analog of woot! in Canada that only stayed up for a few days last year... I believe it was called 'Off the truck'. You can read someone's rant about it here.
