My LCDs got the blues

My 2-year old LCD has a blue vertical line for anything not white. Can it be fixed?
I have a two-year old LCD that has a vertical line of stuck pixels. Any color on that line is now blue, with blue blue if the background is dark and a lighter blue depending on the color value. Total white makes the line go away.
It's not a software problem, the line appears even at POST, and it's not a cable problem, because the "No Signal Input" message displayed when the cable is disconnected also has the line.
So, my question is, can I make the line go away? I'm not averse to opening the display to fix it, but only if you guys suggest it - I wouldn't know what to do otherwise.
The monitor is a Samsung Syncmaster 915n, running at native resolution (1280x1024) but the line appears on a non-native resolution as well. If it's relevant, the monitor is connected to my laptop with a VGA cable.

Take it to a competent repair person.
