iTunes for Flash assets/templates

Looking for an iTunes-like system that permits users to access a library of assets that can be swapped in and out of preset Flash templates. Must run a local dbase containing all assets and templates...
We'll synchronize assets and templates w/Web dbase -- so modified Flash templates/assets can be 'sent' to another device (also running Flash and replic. dbase). Have looked at possibly Alfresco to handle aspects of custom CMS. Anyone have other suggestions for existing open/non-open source solutions that may already have some of this functionality?
iTunes-likeness refers to ability to assign user accounts, ability to manage multiple types of users w/different access levels, 1000's of users.
