Looking to learn the nitty-gritty about property/real estate.

I'm looking for some good overview books or webpages on property. Things covering the legal ends, financial details...basically everything involved in buying a home or building and commercialising a development.

FYI - I'm interesting in this because a few months ago I started working as a market analyst in a large corporate property consultant. My background is in law and since I'm new to this I would like to get a better understanding.

I'm working in Spain, so British practices are more relevant than American ones. But I'd take any good suggestions.

Geez, the overseas angle is tough. For American practices, I'd poke around the relevant areas of Nolo for a start, and begin exploring the topics in the many sidebar boxes on that page.

Yeah, not many real estate moguls on askme ;) try subscribing to the Estates Gazette; it's a very useful publication for real estate professionals in the UK; it should lead you to further sources of information.
