Help me remember the name of a show that I used to watch! It was a sort of futuristic (possibly post-apocalyptic) gladiator arena where the contestants fought in large (think gundam wing) sized battle suits that couldn't fly. I remember watching it in the 90's as a youngin. It was all 3d computer animation, around the same time (I think) as the transformers: beast wars series.

It wasn't battletech was it? I know they had a cartoon series for a while, and it was semi-3d (ie. the battle scenes were weird 3d). Apparently the cartoon made it only 10 episodes, as per it's 6am timeslot (I remember these things...). Even 10 year olds don't get up that early on Saturday morning.

Anyway, battletech fits the description of mostly non-flying mech combat cartoon from 1994.

It sounds a bit like the 1990 film, Robot Jox.

Oooh. Robot Jox was awful. In high school some friends of mine made me watch that.

If you were a youngin in the 90s you're still a youngin now.

*shakes fist at kids on front lawn*

I vote for heavy gear. I remember seeing that a couple of times in the 90s.

Voltron maybe? I recall it being on right before or right after Beast Wars, and it was computer animated. The iteration that was airing around that time was the 3d-CG Voltron: The Third Dimension (1998), according to wikipedia.

ReBoot? Your description doesn't sound quite like it, but I remember this show from the 90s.

Well I would say it was heavy gear except that according to wikipedia, it was a show in 2002. But that seems to be the kind of thing that I was thinking of. Oh well.
