It should be the Flying Glass

[BEERKNURDS filter] I am looking for some advice on how to achieve my goal.

So I am a UFO member at my local Flying Saucer and I have enjoyed trying many of the beers they have. Yet to achieve my goal of receiving my “plate” on the wall and a party in my name, I need to reach the magical number of 200. The difficulty is for those of you who are unfamiliar with it is you can only do 3 different beers a day. I am just shy of 100 and it has taken me about a year to get there. I do not have the time to do the rest before I leave this state, I can really only make it there once a week. I do have about 5 months before I do leave. There is not a Saucer where I am headed.

So my questions for the hive is: Do you know of any possible ways I can receive more than 3 in a day? Or even, any method I could do to receive more credit? Also, I would love to hear from someone on how they achieved the 200 goal.

Three beers once a week for five months means you can get 60 beers without any additional effort on your current schedule. Just make it twice a week and you're there in the wall. Considering that a plate in a Flying Saucer wall somewhere (and a party in your name!!) is a major life goal, tell your boss you need another day off for the next months so you can actually go there twice a week and get that plate. You go, boy!

Yes, by all means do whatever it takes. I blew my chance to get on the wall of the Hong Kong in Harvard square many moons ago. Now every time I go there I am deeply saddened by thoughts of what might have been....sniff.

Get to know a waiter or two and see if they will give you extra credit. They might be able to manipulate things a bit for a favorite customer.

I have two friends with plates on the wall at The Flying Saucer (one in Memphis, one in Nashville). Can you get someone else to swipe your card for you? Can they add a receipt that is you tell them is you, but was really a friend to your card? My friends had finished all of the tap beers and had to get bottled beers. Is there any way that they would sell you the bottles to carry out? It's probably not legal, but you've proven yourself a good customer so they should make an exception.
