X-Mas webcam open to the world.

I would like to setup a webcam that is connected to a LAN. It takes a picture every x-seconds and sends it to a webserver. the webserver then servers the most recent picture to the world (like 300-500 users at a time, i have the internet pipe to do it) but does not delete the pics from the previous second.

I always used netsnap to capture the pictures and upload them to the site. I wrote my own webcam viewer but basically all you need is to have netsnap always save it to, say, netsnap.jpg and then have a script that runs periodically and saves netsnap.jpg to netsnap200612051717.jpg

Most web cams come with software that will do this for you. I know for sure that the Intel line of web cams include this software.
