Who are the artists/title of these 3 19th century paintings? December 2, 2006 2:14 PM Subscribe
Three 19th century art works that I'm having trouble finding the Artist Name and Title for each. The large one is Renoir (actual signature), but I can not find the title of the work. The other two I have no idea.

The landscape may be Corot...The figure is Napoleon, either by Jacques-Louis David or J.A.D. Ingres. I've waited YEARS for that art history MA to pay off. posted by mundy at 2:19 PM on December 2, 2006
The figure is almost certainly Napoleon: similar but not identical to this one by by Gerard: link. posted by Rumple at 2:37 PM on December 2, 2006
At the risk of stating the obvious, the Napoleon is a coronation portrait -- but neither of the two most common in similar poses, which are by Girodet de Roussy-Trioson and Francois Gerard. posted by katemonster at 2:38 PM on December 2, 2006
The landscape could be 'anybody', but it looks 17th-18th century with its greyish sky and busy, non-green trees.
And the third is Renoir, or in the style of Renoir--the anatomy and drapery are not master-class. posted by hexatron at 2:41 PM on December 2, 2006
Also very similar to this one by Anne-Louis Girodet de Roussy-Trioson. Your example may be 'after" these. Clearly Napoleon at his "coronation" dressed in ermine robes. posted by Rumple at 2:41 PM on December 2, 2006
