Burning Hellfire!

Yet another movie question, possibly a comedy, possibly not. The trick is I only remember one snippet, darkly comic.

Probably twenty years ago or so, when I was just starting to grow into dark comedy, I saw a movie which had in it the following (probably heavily paraphrased, or even badly memory-mangled) scene:

Several men, in religious garb, possibly Catholic, are in a back room of a church. They are sitting around a big table, and one of the men is being questioned by the others. The questioning is structured in a mafioso sort of way, and at the end of it, when the questioners get (or don't get?) what they want, a couple thug-like members of this group takes the questionee away.

Moments pass.

The remaining members of the group begin talking again, and when the tension of the previous scene has almost dissipated, the Questionee comes running in and through the room, with his HEAD ON FIRE.

What makes this scene darkly comic in my memory, is that the burning character is in the background of the scene, and the characters in the foreground pay him NO MIND WHATSOEVER.

That's all I've got.

Yeah, that's got to be it, though I can't find it on NetFlix or eBay.
