Paging obscure cellist, Joseph Luptale, please come to the front desk....

ObscureMusicFilter: I have a friend looking for albums by a cellist named Joseph Luptale.

His last name is spelled with an umlate over the "u".

Friend's s.o. is a big fan, but Google, Yahoo, AllMusic and Wiki all come up blank.

Help me, O hive mind!

Maybe there is a typo in the name? I tried Lüptal, Lübtal, Lüptale, Lübtale, Lüptaler, Lübtaler, to no avail.

You can usually find most musicians on google thanks to concert programmes that end up online. When that isn't the case, you most often find at least one relative.

Is there anything more you know about the chap? Maybe references of albums?

Sure it's not the Slovakian cellist, Jozef Lupták? He has a bit of press, several Google hits along with cello OR cellist, and is on a few album contributions like this one available Amazon. His name also comes up as Joseph, probably just as an Anglicization.
