Question: Where can I find internet search behavior statistics

Where can I find statistics on search behaviors of internet users? For example, how many searches are done each day on average? how many searches are done each day? what percentage of users searches on Google? how often does a search converts to a sale? etc.

Well, first, bear in mind that these numbers are very hard to define, let alone collect and tabulate. Conversion from search --> sale could mean many things. And given all the websites online, there is no single data authority that has all the answers for everything.

That said, organizations like Comscore and Alexa try to roll up some interesting metrics about what people are doing on the 'net. I believe there are other companies out there that provide "Nielsen ratings" for the internet but I'm blanking on them right now.

There are also some blogs that try to monitor the stuff you're talking about. No easy answers but lots of interesting data out there.

look no further than the Pew Internet and American Life Project. Lot's of good data about internet usage there.
