Uninsured-patient health clinics in Portland, OR?

Any suggestions on health clinics for the uninsured in Portland, OR?

I've had an earache for about a week and figure I should probably go get it checked out. I don't have any insurance at the moment so I don't want a visit to the doc to cost a fortune. I've been told about the Portland Clinic, but I'm wondering if there are any other suggestions from those who may know. I don't really need a free clinic, just one that isn't going to charge an arm and possibly a leg to look at my poor uninsured ear. Thanks.

I used to have a pamphlet about low-cost health care in Portland - I'll see if I can find it. In the meantime, 211 info could probably refer you to some sliding-scale clinics.

Portland adventist has an urgent care that only charges like $30 (umm call first it's been a while since I had to go there) and the metro area resource line is 1-800-safe-net. good luck ! and call me if you need more numbers, I have a big old list here at work.

How old is your ear? Outside In offers medical care for low income adults under 30.

I can personally recommend Outside In, having used them a couple of times while I was in Portland before I got health insurance. And as far as I can discern on their website, and from my own personal experience. they do see people over 30, but there are certain times that they only see people under 30. I found them to be extremely professional and kind. Good luck!

Thanks trixie_bee and funkiwan. I'm looking into a few places right now and I'll see if Outside In does the trick. My ear is over 30, but it seems that doesn't matter too much. Thanks for the help everyone.
