indie music ahoy!

any suggestions on how i can get an indietorrent invite code without knowing anybody already on the site? Id love a good way to get an idea of whats going on in the indie music scene. I have a tv torrent invite but I'm not sure if there are sites out there that people swap them on? Thanks!

My experience was that you really can just hang out in the irc channel and if you don't make an ass of yourself, someone will offer one to you.

If you have an account with other private torrent sites, you might want to check their message boards. Often, there will be invite swap / give-away threads.
