Winter Roses

I live in the Toronto Ontario area and winter is about to set in but we have this rose bush in our back yard that must have the seasons mixed up because it is blooming. How can this be - I have heard of ice wine but "ice roses". We have already had a few freezing nights but this bush thinks it is the middle of summer....can somebody clue me in - this is not normal is it? Here is a link to some pics: http://tinyurl.com/yxxd9h

I don't have an answer for you, but our neighbours in Hamilton also have a rose bush with flowers still on it. They're starting to look a bit sad now though.

Hellebore is also known as "winter rose" but your roses appear to be the real deal.

You probably have either a repeat bloomer or a comtinuous blooming rose.
