How do I export email from Thunderbird to Outlook 2003? Yes, it's the other way around, from Thunderbird's MBOX format to Outlook's PST database. I already tried to using Eudora to import the mail from Thunderbird, and then export to Outlook, but it failed miserably at importing.

I was using Outlook 2003 (Beta) up until September '03, my PC died, so I had to move over to a temporary PC, where I installed Thunderbird, now that I have my new PC up and running, I've re-installed Outlook 2003, and I need a way to import the email for the past few months. I really like Outlook, I've been using it as my preferred default email client since Outlook 2000.

Well, one way is to upload all messages to an IMAP account. Then keep using IMAP.

Also Thunderbird can save as .eml and Outlook can import those, but I don't think Thunderbird can mass-save as .eml.

Of course, Outlook is jolly good for just about everything, but can't be trusted with protecting you from malicious emails. I wouldn't use it for email, and I do use it for calendar.
It can be trusted if you strip all attachments at the server using procmail, like I just started to do.

keswick, is your opinion based on actual usage of Outlook 2003, XP or 2000?

Outlook is more secure than Outlook Express, it doesn't load HTML, open attachments automatically, etc. Coupled with a good antivirus software, it's not an issue. I haven't seen any email virii in my inbox since I started using Outlook XP. Norton strips it out.

az, thanks for IMAP tip, I'll try and see if I can do it with webmail too.
