Franksgiving was the notorious GOP / DEM legislative dispute over which Thursday in November was to be the official day of giving thanks. It seems unlikely the Mayflower gang had the coveted 4 day weekends in mind.
Why is Thanksgiving always held on a Thursday and who deemed it so?
