I want to be a journalist...No! a copy editor! Yes!

Where can I find advice on conducting and performing constructive career choice or career exploration exercises for small groups?

I have been given the opportunity to work with a group of people looking to move into second careers in the media, and one of the exercises I am expected to give will be about how to brainstorm both with a group and individually about career path choices. It is harder than it sounds.

Are there free resources or books where I can print out some topic sheets to get the ball rolling. I am good with crowds, but I do not want to BS these people. Exercises and games are what I am looking for specifically.

I have found a few websites, but a lot of them are consultancies who want money in order to access parts B and C of the exercise.

Get What Color Is Your Parachute. The second half of the book is a workbook full of exercises that are like what I think you're after, and the first half will give you lots of material to teach from.

Response by poster: Yeah, I have that book. I'm doing a lot from there and from his follow-up The Four Boxes of Life.
