Laptop Repair in NorCal?

Looking for a good laptop repair place in Sacramento or the Bay Area.

I have a Toshiba laptop, about 2 years old, that is having issues, and want to see if it is repairable. I live in Sacramento, and was hoping that MeFi folks might have some suggestions as to where I can go locally to have it fixed. I also work in San Francisco a few times a month, so if there's a better place in the Bay Area, I can look into it.

The problem, in case it matters in recommending someplace, is that the machine will spontaneously and without warning simply turn itself off. It happens at fairly random times. I suspect that it may be a motherboard issue, and I know that if the motherboard is bad or broken or something then it will probably not be worth fixing, but I want to take it to some experts and at least get an estimate.

Oh, and it is not under warranty.

Thanks.

Okay, so you probably don't want somewhere in Davis, but I had a good experience with Help Computer Services. He looked into whether or not mine was worth fixing, did some price research, then I got a cheap laptop from him when mine wasn't worth fixing.

Actually, Davis is fine. Thanks for the recommendation - I'll check them out!

It's just one data point, but I had good luck with laptoprescue.com a few months back when my wife's laptop (also a few years old and out of warranty) wouldn't start up. It ended up being some problem with the batter contacts. Even with labor and shipping, it was far cheaper than the local repair shops or (God forbid) shipping it to Dell for an out-of-warranty repair.
