Old creepy show

Does anyone remember a show in the 80's that had an antique store and the people who ran the store would go back in time through the antique that was connected to an incident and they would help people. I think there was a young guy and girl and one old guy.

It was actually pretty good, and it had nothing whatever to do with the films it shared a name with.

yes, the best episode imo was the one with the faith healer who had the special glove that healed people by sucking the disease out of the afflicted -- but then he had to give the disease to someone lest he get it.

i always thought that show was a precursor to the x-files.

Best episode IMO dealt with a celebrity stalker with a magic necklace. You think he's all about sexually assaulting the celebrity, so you're surprised when she's actually turned on by him. They're about to sleep together when he reveals the real reason for his fascination: "I don't want to sleep with you. I want to BE you." And he uses the necklace to suck the life force out of the celebrity and actually shape-shift into her form.

The ending is classic, where he loses the necklace at the wrong time...

Not to be picky, but I thought the show concept was that an antique store and it's contents had been cursed, and the folks were tasked with retrieving the objects. I certainly do not remember anyone going "back in time". Rather, the old guy was using a sales ledger to identify what was sold and to who. Then they would try to hunt down the object. I don't believe that they were necessarily trying to help people, but rather trying to get the object back to the store before the object could do more harm.

Nonetheless, it was a great show.

I've never seen the show, but the program descriptions on that wikipedia page are HILARIOUS (especially the one about the car which lets you time-travel to 1954 if you smear fresh blood on its radio-- how did the owners discover that?). Does anyone know if any episodes are available online or on DVD?
