Where/How can i learn to deploy perlbal?

I'd like to learn about deploying perlbal. I see docs on installing it but not many on how to actually configure and make use of it. I have just finished a book on Perl. (OO Perl is ugly but doable) Getting everything from CPAN seemed straight forward...Now what? Does this run under mod_perl & Apache? Lighty? Is it its own server and run as a daemon? Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Perlbal is a program. It's the equivalent of a daemon.

Also, the page you linked to says "Feel free to ask us questions on the mailing list". Sound advice, from what I know of the Perlbal developers. If nothing else the mailing list archives will help you out.

The docs directory in SVN is a good place to start. From there, it kinda depends on what you want to use perlbal for. I'd suggest just setting it up and poking at it; it's pretty damn easy to understand once you start playing around.

The mailing list is indeed helpful, too.
