Please, help me with my deflated sac

My sac has flattened. Please hope me.

I have a 6-foot LoveSac, and basically, it's the best piece of furniture money can buy. However...

LoveSac claims that it will always retain its, er, "fluffiness"—in other words, it won't ever go flat on you—but mine has done just that. It's not that it's not comfortable, it's just that the foam inside has become dense in parts. It's no longer evenly distributed. When you plop into it now, you tend to sink to the bottom, on top of a dense mass of foam rather than just getting suspended by a uniform amount.

No amount of fluffing and "breaking up" of the foam has helped, mainly because the bag is loose and unwieldy, so it's hard to actually get a grip on it. One thing that helped was to actually unzip both the inner and outer layer and to rip/stir/fluff the foam itself, but that caused a huge mess (foam everywhere) and wouldn't really be sustainable going forward.

Anyone own of these and have experienced similar problems? Any magic revitalizing techniques you're aware of? "The Google" hasn't been too useful to find LoveSac owners in similar situations.

I used to work for a company that made beanbags, and our prototype bean bags were aways stuffed with shredded foam carpet padding. Held up very well.

I suppose that you could get some carpet padding to add some volume to your sac. It would help your sac both in appearance and comfort.

I might contact LoveSac to see if they have any options for you? Does this thing come with a warranty?

I seem to recall the warranty was somewhat less than a year.

Ostara, the carpet padding (or any kind of additional fluff) might be a good idea—do you know where that tends to be available in surplus?

That LoveSac link of yours says, right on that page, "DuraFoam filled Sac Inserts never go flat, break, or leak...ever. The DuraFoam-filled Sac Insert comes with the "Forever Love" Sac Guarantee and is guaranteed for two lifetimes." So you should be able to call them up, tell them yours has gone flat well within rather less than one lifetime and have them send you a replacement, free of charge, no?

the $800 bean bag chair has less than 1 year warranty?

No, the ($500) bean bag chair has a two-lifetime warranty, according to the comment immediately above yours. Sheesh.

The one-year warranty is on the fabric cover.

I'm guessing though that having taken it apart and torn the insides to shreds kind of voided any warranty you might have had.

nightchrome, there's a zipper to open it all up. It's hardly carving the thing open, and certainly nothing is "torn"—these are foam chunks after all.

lia, thanks for the tip (sometimes, one misses the obvious). I have called them and left a message—we'll see what they say.
