I'm looking for a plugin for winamp5 that acts as nowplaying or blogamp will. Any ideas?

Searching thru the dross on google and winamp itself is proving to be very frustrating!

what do those programs do?

For what it's worth, my own trackback method with the DoSomething plugin still works in winamp 5.

I'm still using DoSomething with WA5, and it's worked pretty wickedly so far.

Why won't nowplaying or blogamp work? Winamp 5 can use any Winamp 2.x or 5.x plugin.

blogamp works fine - I use it for my site

www.snowgoon.co.uk/playlist.htm for proof!

I tried matt's method once - the Oddsock homepage made me want to kill myself. I spent over an hour trying to figure out what the hell the Oddsock guy was going on about, and then I tried Infosend, which I can only access via the wayback machine right now, but the download is good, and easy to set up. Not sure which versions of winamp it supports, though.

BlogAmp works fine for me too.

Matt: Did you ever have any luck doing something similiar with iTunes?

Ignore that last question, Matt. I saw your update in the post you referenced, but I didn't notice the next post was the iTune feature. I will take a look at that now.

Now I just need to figure out how to make it work with pMachine :)

Response by poster: matt, I've tried your method in the past and I found it difficult to configure - I don't have the know-how or the brain for that stuff.

I'm glad to hear that blogamp works; for whatever reason, I thought that it wouldn't in winamp5. Thanks, everybody.

andre torrez wrote something like this a bit ago, but the project didn't quite take off. you might try asking him about it.
