Is there such a thing as pink, opaque Pears soap?

MIL and FIL just returned from 2 weeks in England. She said the hotel soap was the lovliest pink, opaque Pears bath soap. She bought some Pears soap at a market before she left, and was disappointed to find that it was glycerin...you know, like the picture on the front of the box? Anyhows, I've Googled and Ebayed and I just can't corroborate her Pears soap hallucination. Can you?

Aside from their traditional transparent amber coloured glycerine soap, Pears also make a transparent green coloured coloured soap called Pears Oil-Clear Glycerine Soap. These are the two you might find in the shops with the amber coloured one being around since forever and widely available and the green one being new and a bit hard to find.

Pears also manufactures Vinolia TITANIC Luxury Bath Soap which they sell to hotels. You are not likely going to find this in a shop anywhere but it's quite possible this is the soap your MIL enjoyed at the hotel.

Finally, one other possibility is “Pears Pure Care Cleansing Bar” but this product is even rarer as it was discontinued some years ago and don't think you would find it in a hotel. And it's certainly not pink.

Why not call the hotel and ask them exactly which brand of soap they stock their rooms with? They will probably be happy to help you. Good luck!

If you find out it was pink opaque Pears soap, post back here- my mother would love some of that.
