Alone in a hotel room

Photofilter: in a college history of photography class I remember seeing some slides from a color photographer who took pictures of lonely-looking people in hotel rooms. One in particular was a man, fully clothed, sitting on the edge of a bed in what was obviously a mid-price motel room. There was a sort of pale green cast to the shot. Anybody know who the photographer is?

Something from Philip-Lorca diCorcia's Hollywood series?

Obviously, the man in the shot in the website has neither a green cast nor clothes, but Nan Goldin immediately sprang to my mind.
