Question: NYC leather coat cleaning options?

Where can I get a leather jacket (black car coat) cleaned? NYC, specifically (Brooklyn, better yet).

It's not Gucci, but it's fairly nice and needs an inside-out cleaning. I'm leery of taking it to my local dry cleaner, which like all places here it seems, is just a storefront for a service that picks up the stuff, takes it somewhere central for processing, and brings back.

Similar question this morning.

I would call the concierge of a major, first class hotel such as the Waldorf and ask the concierge where he would send one of his VIP client's unique exspensive and not replaceable leather coat.

I have to disagree about calling up a concierge and trying to get information out of them. It's not polite and it's not thier job to help random telephone callers out.

I'd call around to a few places and ask for references if you are really that woried about it. If they don't have references, find some that do and call them.
