Where can I find horse racing data sets?

Is there a good source of horse racing results in a machine readable format? I'd prefer them to be inexpensive or free, and to be up to date.

Equibase is the Bloomberg of horse racing. They have CSV and XML downloads available. Like Bloomberg, it's expensive ($1.50/race or $150/month).

Bloodstock has this, too. It also isn't cheap.

Hmm...I guess my plan to build a neural net to predict horse results will have to be put on the back burner until I find some investors.
