I need to buy a solar/self powered radio, something like this, in San Francisco today. I could also go down the peninsula if need be. Anyone know where I could get one of these in the city?

REI has a variety of crank-powered radios on their website, just call up the San Francisco store and find out which ones they have in stock.

The Discovery Channel Store carries a limited range of them, Grundig is the brand that stuck in my head on my last visit. They have two SF retail locations.

Brookstone (and maybe similar stores, Sharper Image) has crank-powered radios (Eatons, I believe). AM/FM/Shortwave. There is one located in the San Francisco Centre on Market and 5th.
