Question: Custom Postcard

Does anyone know of an online photo processing website that will allow me to upload photos and get them printed off as postcards? I've only found a few sites that will do this and they tend to be rather expensive (i.e. $2 per postcard). Also, the website would need to ship to Canada. Thanks

Although I'm sure you'll get other awesome answers to this question, did you know flickr can do this too? Upload your photos and go to the photo you want to print and there is a button up top you can select to print.

It gives you a decent amount of dimension sizes to choose from though the size I think you are looking for is 15 cents US per print.

I'm not sure how many it allows you to print though, it seems up to 10.

I've had PSPrint do a few jobs for me and I've been very satisfied with the quality and the support they've offered for the price. Not good unless you need a stack o' postcards, but I got good service from them.

I've had some good experiences with psprint too. Also some unfortunate experiences with them, mostly because I had a specific color I was trying to match in a print job, and their system of proofs isn't set up for exact color matches.

If you order a printed proof, they snail mail it to you. So there are always other jobs printed between the time your proof comes off the press and when you approve the proof and the actual run is printed. Use of the printer on another job may very well introduce color variations (don't sue me, psprint), so the chances of your final deliverable being an exact match to your proof are pretty slim.

In short, if you're particular about colors on a professional level, they might not be what you're looking for. If you're not that concerned with color matching, they might be just fine for your purposes, but don't bother getting a printed proof mailed to you.

I've never used them for postcards, but Shutterfly has done a really good job with getting 4x6 prints to me in Vancouver pretty quickly.

A quick look at their products page however, and they don't seem to have postcards per se. They do have "note cards" and "photo cards" however, which sound like postcards to me. MIght be worth taking a look. Note cards are 12 for 9.99, pivture cards are 69c each.

Just another data point: we've had good luck with Vistaprint which allows much smaller runs (100 postcards, under $20).

You could also get a rubber stamp made that would imprint the back of your prints. BONUS: You can get very customized postcards if you design the stamp yourself.

I second VistaPrint. I've gotten postcards from them. Good quality, good price.

If you should need customer service, though, it's a pain.
