Our office Halloween theme this year is Carnival Freakshow. Any ideas for costumes, props, general mischief? Thanks in advance.

wow, so much fun could be had with this one. bearded lady, lobster-claw-hand boy, world's largest midget/ world's smallest giant, half man/half woman, guy who bites the heads off of chickens. and of course, someone's gotta be the carnival barker!

Man–Eating Chicken!

Stock up on Swedish fish for all the geeks!

Spirit gum and beards for the ladies!

Stuffed half-bras and a fishnet stocking for the gents (for hermaphrodites)!

A conjoined malformed twin hanging out of one's head is also real good, though it would probably require some sort of rubber appliance.

Body paint for an illustrated man? Or alternately, someone who has LOTS and LOTS of tats and piercings could just take off their shirt! The possibilities are endless.

Be the light-bulb eating freak. Wear a pure white t-shirt and bring in a lightbulb broken down to the threads (basically just the threads) and if anyone offers you something to eat, turn it down, saying you already ate (pointing to the bulb). Keep doing this, loudly, to practically invite people to offer you food. Then, start in on a big dramatic coughing jag and pop a couple blood capsules in your mouth while you cover your cough. Bite them with your teeth and start coughing up the blood into your hands and cosequently all over your white t-shirt.

You might want to do this in a place that's easily cleaned in case of overflow.
