I manage a Language Lab at a University and our satellite programming is on the fritz. As an alternative while we get a new system purchased I wondered if there was any online television programming in Spanish.

We have feeds for Univision and Galavision but the professors have mentioned that these channels are US-based and don't really bring in the culture as much. Any other channels or anything I can offer them in the meantime? Extra bonus points if it's free.

The BBC does some online video courses, and they have lots of other material as well.

You could try Destinos. It's aimed at teaching the language, so it may not be exactly what you want, but it does have the cultural element you're looking for. I believe it's free, but you do need to register.

TVE is exactly the kind of stuff I'm looking for, not so much instructional but just live feeds from the country(ies).

I've actually found an amazing link after a lot of searching today, WWITV that has a ton of channels from all over the world.
