Jewelry like Niwaka in San Francisco?

San Francisco/Los Angeles: I'm interested in a ring from Niwaka. Unfortunately we'd have to fly to Kyoto or New York to try it. Is there anywhere in SF with similar designs? I've already been to the jewelry mart on 8th and Brannan and a few shops on Union. I'll be in LA next week, so that's an option too. Thanks.

New York is a major trading center for jewlry - depending on the cost of the ring in question, you may be able to save enough on the ring to justify the cost of travel.

A bit o' Googlin' led me to the Velvet DaVinci Gallery and the Metal Arts Guild, both in SF. Judging by Niwaka's site, I'd try asking about organic (or abstract) silver rings, such as this one by Shahasp Valentine, as on the Guild's page (if that's your style).
