Question: Name that tune.

Okay a tough name-that-tune question. Listen and identify please!

Rummaging through a bunch of old CDR's I found a pile of mix cds I had made a few years ago, labeled only with a single adjective (crunchy, fuzzy, sleepy, etc). The rest of the tracks I was able to identify by ear, but this one I haven't and it's driving me crazy.

See if you can help, why don't you!

Lean towards saying it's movie background music, put in to pad out an original soundtrack cd. Maybe Jan Hammer?

What were te other tracks on this CD?

Sounds like Digeridoo by Aphex Twin, but it's slower than either of the mixes I have.

I agree with punilux - I tried speeding it up in Adobe Audition and it does sound very much like Digeridoo.

I tried running Tunatic on it, but it couldn't identify it. It doesn't sound like a song.... it's more like a random techno loop.

The cd is "Evil". There was a companion one called "Good" that had a bunch of light and fluffy electronic stuff, like underworld's Rez.

I really don't think it's didgeridoo; I've already got another Aphex Twin track on there and usually try not to repeat artists on mixes. Plus check out the middle; that doesn't sound like RDJ at all there.

Apologies to anyone who's into industrial or darkwave; this is pretty much as dark as my musical tastes get:

Evil Mix
Disjecta*: Dormin
Speedy J: Drill
Delerium: Lost Passion
Lustmord vs Metal Beast: Open Towers Emerge (version)
Scanner: Immemory
Source Direct: Call & Response
Kinesthesia*: Sanq (Autechre mix)
??? GOD DAMMIT ???
Orbital: Satan (Industry Standard)
Aphex Twin: Come To Daddy
Dr. Octagon: 3000
Reload†: Ev-I-Loy

* Better know for his membership in Seefeel
** Better known as Cylob
† Better known as Global Communication

Ask.Me you have disappointed me once again! :(

But someone else IMed me "This sounds kind of like Coil", which it totally is.

It's Theme From Blue I from Coil's CD compilation of singles & whatnot Unnatural History II, Smiling in the Face of Perversity

So there you go. Thanks for the efforts, guys.
