Question: How do I move my Adium settings?

I use <a href=target=" _blank">Adium as my instant messenging client. I am in the process of moving user accounts and I would like to take all of my settings and data with me. How do I do it?

Two things to get:

Copy ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/ to the same spot on the new user.

Also copy com.AdiumX.AdiumX.plist from ~/Library/Preferences/ to the same folder on the new user.

There are two places to look:

~/Library/Application Support/Adium/
~/Library/Preferences/com.adiumX.adiumX.plist

You'll want to copy the Adium folder (the first line), and the plist file (the second line) to their corresponding locations on the new account. "~", in case it's not clear, is your "home" directory (usually your name).

I use Address Book to keep track of my IM contacts and I tell Adium to check Address Book. This may be a solution that works.
