Question: Rescuing data from a crashed smartphone

My smartphone (SonyEricsson P910i) suddenly stopped working yesterday. A pop-up window appears on booting with the title "Information" and just one word - "corrupt". There's a box saying " continue" to click on and when I do so, it just hangs. Any idea what I can do with it? I badly need to rescue the data from it - lots of things (calendar, phone book, notes) that weren't backed up (I know, I know - but the backup program they supplied never worked properly. It always duplicated all the calendar / phonebook entries instead of backing them up.) Help!

I'd search over at PDAPhone's forum for the P900, and if no luck then try posting a question. Although it seems to be pretty low traffic over there for that model.

Then try a Palm phone :)

Howardforums and mobiledia are generally the forums I have best luck with, in that order. There's a huge amount of noise you have to filter through to get to the useful infomation, unfortunately.

You could try taking it to a service center(not a retail store), but you'll have to get lucky and talk to someone who knows what he's doing.

Nokia makes some symbian phones, I personally like the 6682, and the PC sync software is free and works flawlessly.
