Which 'rolling' laptop bag?

Another 'computer bag' question. I need a computer bag that has wheels and a handle.. I am considering on buying the Victorinox Rolling Trevi. It cost $300.00 pretty much everywhere. Is it worth it? What are the alternatives (brands / types) for a similar kind of bag?

My husband and I own about a dozen pieces of Victorinox Gear and it's all excellent. We don't have this particular bag, but my husband has a non-rolling Vic briefcase that he's carried daily for five years and it's held up beautifully. They do come with a lifetime warranty, and the fabirc is extremely tough ballistic nylon.

You don't say where you are located in your profile, but each Nov. the company that makes Victorinox Gear has a huge "Friends and Family" sale in St. Louis, where you can get things at 30% - 50% off generally. It's gotten to be very popular over the years.

I have the Briggs and Riley @Work bag for my 17" laptop, and absolutely love it. And you can't beat their lifetime "we'll fix it no matter what" replacement/repair policy. It has a handy panel that holds it to the handle of your other wheeled luggage, too. Very sturdy, very high quality, and (IMHO, as a frequent traveler) worth every penny.

I have one and can attest to its durability style and design. I bought it so I could stick a few clothes in for day trips or short overnighters. When fully packed it barely fits in the overhead and I am not happy with the weight. Somehow I always have the feeling that the vibrations when wheeling it (particularly from the tarmacs when you board directly from the apron) is not good for my beloved laptop--but it keeps on working. Best of Luck

I have not tried a Victorinox bag, but my current bag is a Pacific Design Rolling Lite, which you can pick up for under $70 now. It's very solid, and feels like a more expensive bag. Here's a review.
