The Time Diet

If time was food, what would be on your "foods to avoid" list?

So I had this idea today for something called the time diet. The thought process that led up to it went like this: As I was preparing dinner, I was thinking about how much easier it is to stick to the South Beach diet if you sit down and write out your menu for the week. It only takes a minute, but it allows you to prepare & plan ahead for things and saves time & money, too. I was also thinking about how much I just don’t understand those poor, overweight women who just can't control their eating. Why can’t they just stop? My mini-epiphany came then. I realized that if you replaced foods like sugar and bread with activities like YouTube - losing weight equals getting things done - I'm exactly the same as they are. Sure I might be slim and in good health, but my todo list is moribund. It's a beached whale! I decided that if cutting foods out of my diet and saving money was easy to do by writing out a menu and sticking to it, perhaps I could apply some of those ideas to time management, and get my todo list lean and good-looking. What do you think? That I’m pathetic and I just need to suck it up and do what I know I should be doing? Because that’s what I've always thought about people who can't stick to a diet.
