I'm taking a bunch of grad students out later this week for Ethiopian food (they all just got here). I just moved back here too, and I'm not sure what's outside of Adams Morgan and U Street (Meskerem, Addis Adaba, Dukem) in terms of Ethiopian...i know there's cheaper places in Arlington and Silver Spring. It's recommended at <a href="http://www.tylercowensethnicdiningguide.com/ethiopian/">Tyler Cowen's Ethnic Dining Guide</a> (that's just the Ethiopian category), and if it's the same place I went to (can't remember the name, but the location seems about right) it's very reasonably priced. I used to live aroudn the corner form the one in Silver Spring and went there frequently. Loved it. I thought the prices were reasonable.
