Ballroom dance classes in Chicago

Can you recommend a good place to take ballrooom dance classes in Chicago?

I've never really been much of a dancer and have some important formal events and weddings coming up in the next year, so I'd like to be able to at least hold my own on the dancefloor. Where should a friend and I go in Chicago to learn how to dance? Location is important, but quality of instruction probably more so. Cost is probably not that much of a factor unless this ends up being way more expensive than I think that it will be.

If location is important, can you tell us which neighborhood you'd like to take classes in?

Response by poster: Well, I live on the Northwest side (in Logan Square), so something near there would be nice. But location is important only to the extent that we need to differentiate among otherwise equal choices.

I know there is an Arthur Murray Dance Studio in River North. It's a chain but they're kind of the best-known and classy studio. There's also Dance Center Chicago. May I Have This Dance seems to have classes on the northwest side.

I think your best bet is to go to a chain like Arthur Murray. That's where I'd go if I needed to learn to dance.
